WHO WE ARE

This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you get in touch with us or use our services. When we say "we", "us" or "SDS", we mean:

WHAT WE COLLECT

We only collect what we need to quote for and carry out your job. That can include:

• Your name, business name, phone number and email address
• Site addresses and postcodes
• Details about the job, like what needs moved, when and any access notes
• Invoicing and payment details for work we've done
• Records we have to keep by law, like waste transfer notes

HOW YOU GIVE IT TO US

You give us your details when you WhatsApp, phone or email us, or when we're working on a job for you.

The quote form on our website doesn't store anything. When you press send, it opens a message in your own WhatsApp or email app, and nothing reaches us until you send it yourself.

WHY WE USE IT

• To quote for and do your job. We need your details to reply to you, plan the work and turn up in the right place. This is needed to carry out a contract with you, or to take steps you've asked for before one.
• To meet our legal duties. As a registered waste carrier, we have to keep waste transfer notes and other records. We also keep invoices and accounts for tax.
• To keep in touch about work. If you're a regular customer, we might message you about upcoming jobs or availability. This is in our legitimate interest as a business, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

We will never sell your information, and we won't send you marketing you haven't asked for.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We only share your information when we need to, for example with:

• Partners who help deliver your job, like CR Contracts for agricultural and specialist work, and only when they're involved
• Our accountant, bank and insurers
• SEPA or other regulators and authorities where the law requires it
• The services we use to run the business, like WhatsApp, our email provider and our website host

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep enquiry messages for as long as they're useful to you and us. Waste transfer notes are kept for at least two years, as the law requires. Accounting records are kept for six years for tax purposes. After that, we delete or securely destroy them.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law
• Object to us using it, or ask us to limit how we use it

OUR WEBSITE

Our website host may use basic cookies to keep the site working properly. The links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and WhatsApp take you to those companies' own apps and websites, and their own privacy policies apply there.
