SDS is Liam and Hazel, and the name means exactly what it says. Sneddon Daughter and Son.

Liam always said he'd have his first lorry before he turned 30, and he did. He's got over a decade in haulage behind him, and he's the one out on the lorries every day making sure the job gets done right.

Before SDS, Hazel spent 18 years in education and was the wife of a long distance lorry driver. She ran the house, raised the kids and supported a man she hardly ever saw. When Covid slowed everything down, the two of them looked at each other and thought, why not do this for ourselves? So they built SDS from Hazel's mum and dad's farm, with the kids right there beside them.

Ana's usually on site acting like she's the boss (she probably is), and Arran will tell you he gets all the jobs nobody else wants. They're the reason Liam and Hazel do this. They want to build something that gives them real choices one day.

That family feeling runs through how SDS works. They do family days out instead of nights at the pub, they know their drivers' favourite biscuits, and they look after the families at home, not just the drivers. With clients it's the same. They'd much rather say "let's see how we can make that work for you" than "we don't do that".

Liam's the backbone of SDS. He's out on the lorries while Hazel keeps everything running behind him. According to Hazel, knowing how to work a laptop is a big win in this partnership. Liam's still figuring that out!
